With a bit of Huff and Puff, I popped into the world at a tender age (HAHAHAHA). I spent most of the swinging sixties crawling or being a right little monster at Hillside Avenue CP school. Occasionally I would be the model for my "proud" parents and loved to see the prints that Dad produced after being shut away in the bathroom for many hours.
Time moved on, but we stayed in deepest Norfolk as I casually meandered through School, rarely breaking into a sweat and doing nothing to alert the statistitions to my existance! Although I liked to play around with various cameras (Boots 127 instamatic, Olympus Trip, Practica MTL3) I didn't get particularly interested until a set of circumstances led me to Greens Cameras (a shop-in-shop in Debenhams, now defunct) and a meeting with Rex and Tim, both camera fans. Tim was a mad Canon fan, forever selling the virtues of, in particular, the A1. Since that time I have had a pathological and totaly irrational dislike for all things Canon!
Time moves slowly in Norfolk and so did I until I was 25 when I moved to lovely Surrey to study a BTec in Design (Photography) at NESCOT. I survived four terms of un-imaginative drivel until dropping out, shortly after the only person with any gumption also left. He is now an Internationaly famous music and fashion photographer (see links)!
I pottered around, got married, had some kids, became a house-husband, did a load of City & Guilds photography modules, earned my LRPS and am now earning some "pocket money" taking action/matchday pics of Kingstonian.
Please note, this is not the end of my history, there is more to come!!
